Real Estate Agent
Ethan Valenstein knows Jackson Hole. He’s spent much of his life exploring the area. As a kid, his family relocated to Jackson from New York City in the late 1980s, when he was 11 years old. They came for the mountain lifestyle, the access to the outdoors, and the slower pace of life.

Ethan left Wyoming for school—he attended school in New Hampshire, then graduated with honors and a degree in economics and environmental science from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. But he was drawn back to Jackson when he was in his twenties for the sense of community, the quality of life, and, yes, the world-class ski terrain that he knew existed in this small, culturally-thriving mountain town.

After becoming a real estate broker in 2004, Ethan joined the team at Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty. Now an executive agent at JH Property Group, which is recognized by Sotheby’s as a top-producing sales team, Ethan holds real estate licenses in both Wyoming and Idaho and serves as president of the local MLS Board.

He and his wife, Colleen, have two young sons, and they recently built their dream home on a hill overlooking the town of Jackson. Most days, you can find Ethan out backcountry skiing, mountain biking, playing a round of golf, or floating the Snake River in a drift boat. “I try to take advantage on a daily basis of this special place where we live—getting outside with my family, riding bikes, skiing—that’s what I do,” Ethan says. “Any time spent outside in this amazing place is time well spent.”
