Shooting Star offers those seeking to build near the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort the ideal blend of privacy and access, luxury and recreation. The development consists of 1,300 acres of protected lands adjacent to the southern boundary of Teton Village, with a master plan designed to limit the development to one hundred Homesites, and eighty-two Cabins or Lodges.

Lot 8 at Shooting Star is the only Homesite currently available outside of developer inventory. The lot abuts a protected spruce and aspen grove along the western perimeter of the development and provides the community’s most elevated views of the ski resort, as well as views of the “Sleeping Indian” and Jackson Peak across the valley. This Homesite offers the ability to build up to 8,000 habitable square feet of custom residence.

The home has been painstakingly crafted utilizing century-old reclaimed Amish beams and chestnut flooring, French white oak, and elegant Montana red stone for a one of a kind western estate. The home is sited alongside the headwaters of Fish Creek and provides dramatic views of the ski resort, aerial tram and the Tetons beyond.

What makes Shooting Star such a highly-regarded community and golf course in Jackson Hole, according to  Matt Cardis, of  GolfInYourState, is that, “Shooting Star is more than just a golf club membership—but rather an investment in experience and the Jackson Hole lifestyle. Aside from the ranch land turned Tom Fazio masterpiece, its location at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, world-class facilities and additional guest services make this one of the most unique private membership clubs in the country.”

Shooting Star’s acclaim among residential golf courses has garnered attention in national rankings from GolfWeek, Forbes and others, and the development’s suite of amenities caters to year-round activities with extensive Nordic ski trails, and unbeatable access with door-to-door shuttle service to some of the best ski terrain in the United States in the winter.

RECREATION CENTRAL TO MODERN HOME IN JACKSON
Private fishing and golf adorn an exemplary property.

The recreation season in Jackson Hole is year-round and summer brings a couple of our favorite activities—golf and fishing!

The Snake River, Fish Creek, Flat Creek, Green River, Hoback River, South Fork, and Henry’s Fork are all considered exceptional fishing destinations in the area. Although spring runoff as a result of this winter’s big snowpack may delay prime fishing on the Snake, many have reported exceptional early-season fishing, and some of the other rivers and creeks will likely be great again very soon.

The golf season is already here—with all courses, public and private, open for the summer. Teton Pines and Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis have a 30-plus year heritage within the valley, with both offering play to the public and feature course designs by Arnold Palmer and Robert Trent Jones. The last decade has dramatically increased the quality and number of golf options in our area, creating a Mecca of golf courses designed by some of the world’s best. During this time we have seen courses added with designs by Gary Stevens, Tom Weiskopf, Rees Jones, Tom Fazio, David McLay Kidd and Hale Irwin—all within minutes of anywhere in Jackson.

A select few residential opportunities exist in Jackson Hole that manage to combine direct access to both the golf and fishing recreational opportunities of the valley while maintaining the utmost sense of privacy and convenience. More rare still is opportunity to fish and practice golf directly in one’s backyard, and no residence provides this experience better than a beautiful home listed for sale just north of Jackson.

Exquisitely manicured grounds include enhanced spring creeks and a private golf practice and play area.

A true mountain modern design with over 11,500 square feet of exquisite living space, this property provides expansive, breathtaking views of the Tetons and across the valley to the “Sleeping Indian.”

Encompassed within the property’s forty acres is what may be the best fishing around, with more than ¾ miles of Three Channel Creek providing enhanced trout spawning habitat and a wonderful pond with moving water and even a beach area. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the private green built to PGA specifications that includes a green, bunkers and three tee boxes amidst the exquisitely manicured grounds.

This property is a great opportunity to refine your fishing or golf game under a backdrop of the Tetons, and is a must-see for anyone with an appreciation for bold architecture and an unmatched setting.
